"We loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well, because you had become so dear to us." - 1 Thessalonians 2:8 (NIV)
County Line is pleased to be able to provide a variety of ministries and missions in which to serve. If you see something that interests you, please feel free to join us as we work to spread God's word throughout the community!
Under Construction: We are designing a new youth ministry at CLUMC. Stay tuned for exciting updates!
"Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it." - Proverbs 22:6 (NIV)
County Line United Methodist Church loves children. Our volunteers and staff are background checked and have been through Safe-Sanctuary training. Along with Sunday School classes, we offer a Children's Church session most Sundays for grades K-5 which takes place during the 11:00 AM worship service.
Children's Ministries hosts and helps with several fun events during the year such as: Vacation Bible School, Trunk or Treat & Chili Cook-off, Eggstravaganza, Christmas Family Fun Night, Summer Events, and the Back-to-School Bash.
"Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing." - Psalms 100:1-2
The Music Ministry is meant to be a group of people who come together to lead the rest of the congregation in worshiping God. They should be an example and an inspiration to all other Christians to worship the Almighty Lord. The ministry brings together people who wish to develop their musical talents and their relationship with Christ. There are no auditions or tryouts. You just have to want to sing praises to the Lord.
The choir practices on Wednesdays at 7:30 PM. We usually take the month of June off for rest, but always sing every Sunday. All ages and experience levels are welcome!
United Methodist Women is an organization of 8 million members which fosters spiritual growth, develops leaders, and advocates for justice here and around the world. As part of their stated purpose "... to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church ..." members raise millions of dollars each year for programs and projects to benefit women, children, and youth around the world.
County Line UMW has one circle at present; the Effie Ford Circle meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 10 am in the Conference Room. This is a busy circle which contributes both within the church and to missions in the community. Each fall we make and deliver fruit baskets to shut-ins and those in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. We also host a birthday party once a year at the Paulding Nursing Home for the residents. This circle also sponsors Mother's Day and Father's Day Booklets which list those we wish to honor or remember. The proceeds go to local missions of County Line United Methodist Women.
Ongoing projects include collecting soup labels to benefit Red Bird Mission and aluminum tabs for the Ronald McDonald House. We also have had fundraisers for Murphy-Harpst Children's Home, a nativity to celebrate Christmas, a bake sale for UMCOR, and other needs as they occur. We contribute to both the Vacation Bible School and Youth Ministry programs of County Line. We have even published a church cookbook, “Taste of County Line II”, that many members enjoy.
While we enjoy these activities, we also have numerous times of fun and fellowship! We frequently meet for lunch, have had women's retreats, a yearly summer luncheon, and at Christmas we enjoy a cookie swap. We also enjoy a Secret Sister program of exchanging names and giving small gifts throughout the year which culminates in revealing the secret names at our Annual Christmas Party held at a special location.
All women of the church are invited to join us. For more information, contact Lynda Teague at lrteague@att.net or 770-424-2260.
When and where: Thursdays @ 10:30 AM in the Church Office's Conference Room.
This ministry is open to all the ladies of the church and meets every Thursday morning for fellowship with one another while taking part in an in-depth Bible study.
Throughout the year we will go through multiple short-term (5-9 weeks in general) Bible studies that help guide us in our faith and living our lives through Christ. In between studies we will meet for prayer and fellowship.
Participant books for the current Bible study are available for purchase in the Church Office.
